SOME GOOD ADVICE ON THE YEAR 2012
Posted By hvranch on January 25, 2012
Many people view the year 2012 as a breath of fresh air. Perhaps it will bring an end to the recent emphasis on thoughts of recession, unemployment, foreclosure, etc. Others are convinced that the world will absolutely end this year.
To those who are positive the world will end this year, I have some advice: Don’t quit your job. If you’re unemployed, continue looking for a job. If your roof is leaking, now is the time to fix it. We all need to adopt the attitude that we will not quit before we reach the end of the road—-whenever that might be.
Biblical knowledge is essential to wisely guide us in these days. The Bible does indeed state that the world will definitely end. There are also references to signs of the end. But there is also a crystal clear reference in Matthew 24, verse 36 that says, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven … but the Father only.”
My advice:
1) Plan your eternal future, so in faith we can sing the classic hymn: “Some glad morning when this life is o’er, I’ll fly away. To a home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away.”
2) Until that day, keep busy letting your light shine.
God bless and keep you in this year, Pastor Jerry
